Palo Alto Networks Device Security integrates with HPE Aruba Networking Central (cloud and on-premises) through Cortex XSOAR®, allowing Device Security to import details about both wired and wireless devices. When Device Security receives information for devices already in its inventory, it incorporates additional data from HPE Aruba Networking Central into its existing network traffic and behavior analysis. This enables more granular endpoint reports and improved detection of misconfigurations and anomalies.
For such data as device hostname, VLAN, and network connection type (wired or wireless), Device Security prioritizes its existing information over any conflicting data from HPE Aruba Networking Central. For all other data, such as AP name and SSID, the most recent information, regardless of its source, takes precedence. For devices not already in its inventory, Device Security creates new entries based on the data provided by HPE Aruba Networking Central.
