The RUCKUS Networks Cloudpath integration with Palo Alto Networks NGFWs enables organizations to identify users and devices on the network, associate corresponding network traffic, and define and enforce firewall policies with per-user and per-device granularity.
Working alone, firewalls can block or allow specific ports and applications—or even specific features within an application—and apply these policies across all users and devices. With Cloudpath, firewall policies are more precise because the firewall detects who is generating the traffic and which devices they are using.
Cloudpath checks the network authorization status of all devices that are seeking network access.
